A good beard grows in whichever direction it feels like, usually all of them at once. The Silver Bullet Slick Beard Straightening Brush is the tool that negotiates a settlement, in about the time it takes to find your keys.

TL;DR: A heated beard brush with an ionic ceramic plate surface and five heat settings up to 200°C. Cool-touch bristle tips mean you can work close to the skin, and a 60-minute auto cut-off means you can walk out the door without the usual panic.

Product Details and Benefits

  • Ionic ceramic plate surface. The plate glides through facial hair rather than snagging on it, working against static and frizz for a smoother, more controlled finish.
  • Five heat settings up to 200°C. Coarse, dense beards need more heat than fine or shorter growth does. Five settings means you can find the lowest temperature that actually works rather than defaulting to maximum and hoping.
  • Cool-touch bristle tips. The tips are designed to stay cool, which is the entire reason this is usable on facial hair. Straightening plates near the jawline and cheeks are a nervous business; this is not.
  • Heats up immediately, so it fits into a morning routine instead of demanding its own time slot.
  • Slim, ergonomic and lightweight. Easy to manoeuvre around the chin and jaw, and small enough to travel with rather than leave behind.
  • Dual voltage for worldwide use, so it works overseas with the right plug adaptor.
  • 360° swivel cord that doesn't wind itself into a knot every time you change hands mid-style.
  • Flashing heat indicator so you know exactly where it's up to before it touches your face.
  • Auto cut-off after 60 minutes, which quietly removes the "did I turn it off?" moment from your commute.
  • From Silver Bullet, an Australian-owned brand that has been building professional appliances for hairdressers and barbers for over 35 years.

How to Use

  1. Start with a clean, completely dry beard. Heat and moisture together is how you end up with steam where your face is.
  2. Comb through first to release any tangles, so the brush isn't fighting knots and heat at the same time.
  3. Select your heat setting based on beard length, thickness and coarseness, and wait for the heat indicator before you begin.
  4. Work in slow, controlled passes from the roots down toward the ends, letting the brush move through the hair rather than pressing the bristles into the skin.
  5. Repeat only as needed to get the shape you want, avoiding repeated passes over the same spot.
  6. Switch off, unplug and let it cool completely before it goes anywhere near a drawer or a travel bag.
  7. Apply beard oil or balm afterwards, once the heat styling is done, unless the product specifically says it's made for use with heated tools.

Pro tip: Style downward and slightly inward along the sides, and straight down at the front. Most people brush every stroke straight down everywhere, which flattens the sides outward and leaves the beard looking wider and squarer than it is. Angling the sides in toward the jaw narrows the silhouette and lengthens the face, which is the difference between a beard that looks groomed and one that just looks flattened.

Warranty

Why You'll Love It

Coarse, wavy, tangled or simply chaotic, a beard responds to heat far better than it responds to willpower. Add the Slick to your cart and start your mornings with fewer arguments.
